Hello gang,
I went with two other friends to the Rove house Saturday around 12:30 pm.
Turning off our cell phones early and removing their batteries, we
parked 3 blocks away, not wanting to alert his goons to our presence.
We donned oversized Bush, Cheney, and Condi Rice masks. We also had
three large signs. Our favorite: A for sale sign we placed in his
front yard "Home for Sale: Owner guilty of treason, moving to prison."
Amazingly, within two minutes of arrival at his house, Rove himself came out
with another gentleman (we speculate his lawyer), and drove off
with the guy in his Jaguar! Surprisingly, it was not Jeff Gannon. It was
clear from the look of shock on his face that he did not look out the
window before leaving - our presence caught him totally by surprise!
One minute later, with the three of us still in shock and cheering from
seeing Rove, his wife came out the front door and yelled at us!
We yelled something at Rove like "Do Fitzgerald a favor and turn
yourself in - you are going to prison", "guilty of treason", and sang
"sha na na na, sha na na na,
hey hey hey, goodbye!" over and over again.
I had my 25 watt bullhorn in hand, so I know he heard us. His front
door is right by the street, and he nearly ran us over with his car.
His wife had the audacity to complain about how we were "disturbing
the neighbors, and that we should go away". Our reply? "Your husband
is guilty for the deaths of thousands of Iraqis! He is going to
prison! I repeat, your husband is going to prison!"
Our timing could not have been better. Within 5 minutes we were gone.
I believe Rumsfield would call this "a direct hit." Yellowcakewalk.net
strikes again!
His being home also contradicts his offices claim in Sunday's
Washington Post that he missed the Saturday AM fundraiser breakfast in Virginia
because of a "scheduling conflict"... He was at home!
This was the third protest in front of his house. Everybody is invited
to do more! It is 100% legal, and although there is no sidewalk per
se, the police have never bothered us in the past. In fact, in July
some neighbors even brought us lemonade!
His address is 4925 Weaver Terrace NW, Washington DC.
It is located in the "Palisades" area neighborhood. Although there is
no sidewalk, it is 100% legal to protest there. There have
been Capitol police there in the past, although there were none on Saturday.
Police presence is welcome, as I am sure Rove would have no hesitation
to charge at someone in his Jaguar! Why not add vehicular assault to
treason and perjury!
Following this we grabbed some lunch and headed downtown to protest
Rove's other half... The Chimp Man himself... This time we had time to
grab our camera!

Best of luck, and keep up the good fight!
